Nonprofit Marketing Intern

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. As a Marketing Intern at Dream Mentorship, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing initiatives, increasing our online presence, and contributing to the growth of our mentorship community.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hickory, NC 28602

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation:

- Assist in creating engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, blog posts, and email campaigns.

- Collaborate with the team to develop captivating visuals, graphics, and multimedia content.

2. Social Media Management:

- Manage and grow our social media presence by scheduling posts, engaging with our audience, and implementing social media strategies.

- Monitor social media analytics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Email Marketing:

- Support the execution of email marketing campaigns, including drafting content, designing templates, and analyzing campaign results.

- Segment and maintain email lists for targeted outreach.

4. Event Promotion:

- Assist in promoting Dream Mentorship events, webinars, and workshops through various online channels.

- Collaborate with the events team to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies.

5. Market Research:

- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor strategies, and best practices to contribute insights for marketing strategy development.

6. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Merch, Fundraising team and Board Members to brainstorm and implement creative marketing campaigns.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure marketing initiatives align with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Business, Communications, or related program.

- Undergraduate - Senior or Graduate level student

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute

Duration and Compensation:

- This is a 6-12 month internship position.

- Compensation: Intern will be compensated per project completion

Development and Fundraising Intern

Position Overview:

The Fundraising Intern will play a key role in supporting our fundraising efforts, contributing to the financial sustainability of Dream Mentorship. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and relationship building.

Outside of the experience that you will gain from exposure to the nonprofit, you will engage in high-impact 1:1 mentorship, custom learning, and opportunities to impact network and build your dream.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hickory, NC 28602

Responsibilities:

1. Donor Outreach:

Assist in researching and identifying potential donors and sponsors.
Support the development and implementation of strategies to engage current and prospective donors.

2. Campaign Assistance:

Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns.
Create compelling content for fundraising materials, including emails, social media posts, and campaign updates.

3. Event Coordination:

Assist in organizing fundraising events, ensuring smooth logistics and maximizing donor participation.
Collaborate with the Events team to integrate fundraising into event strategies.

4. Database Management:

Maintain accurate donor records and information in the fundraising database.
Generate reports and analyze data to track fundraising progress and identify areas for improvement.

5. Communication:

Draft thank-you letters, acknowledgment emails, and other communications to donors.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure fundraising efforts are effectively communicated to our audience.

6. Research and Grant Writing:

Conduct research on potential grants and funding opportunities.
Assist in drafting grant proposals and supporting documents.
