What is Love Impact Week?

Every holiday season, we see toy drives, coat collections, and food banks working to serve children. But what about the CAREGIVERS—the women who hold families together while going without themselves?

Love Impact Week honors 50 women in Catawba County who serve as the backbone of their families: grandmothers raising grandchildren, mothers caring for adult children with special needs, teen mothers finishing school, and single mothers working multiple jobs.

On December 6th, these women will be SERVED, CELEBRATED, and HONORED at a beautiful brunch where they'll receive meals, groceries, essential supplies, meaningful gifts, and connections to ongoing mentorship and support.

of Catawba County households are ALICE families—working but unable to afford necessities (United Way ALICE Report, 2023).

34%

of these struggling households are headed by WOMEN (NC ALICE Data).

68%

people in our county are food insecure, many are caregivers who skip meals so families can eat (Feeding America, 2023).

What Every Woman Receives

Each woman leaves with tangible support and renewed hope:

  1. HOT, NUTRITIOUS MEAL: Tonight, they sit at beautifully set tables and are SERVED a restaurant-quality meal—no cooking, no cleanup, just being cared for.

  2. $50 GROCERY GIFT CARD: This provides groceries for her family. No more watering down juice or skipping meals.

  3. DIAPERS & WIPES (for mothers): For women with babies or toddlers, we provide 1-2 months supply of diapers and wipes, one less worry, one less impossible choice.

  4. A MEANINGFUL SURPRISE GIFT: Not generic charity, a thoughtful gift chosen FOR HER: a cozy blanket, journal, devotional, or self-care kit. Something that says: "You deserve love and joy, too."

  5. HANDWRITTEN ENCOURAGEMENT: A personal note from a community member telling her, "You are SEEN. You MATTER. Your sacrifices haven't gone unnoticed."

  6. ONGOING MENTORSHIP & SUPPORT: This isn't a one-night event. Every woman receives an invitation to Dream Mentorship programs: monthly circles, financial literacy workshops, professional development, and 1:1 mentorship. We're building PATHWAYS out of poverty, not just providing temporary relief.
